  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil plus more for drizzling
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place the crumbled feta cheese, softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice into a food processor.
  • Process the mixture until it becomes completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This usually takes 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Taste the dip and add black pepper as desired. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add 1 teaspoon of water or milk at a time while processing until you reach your preferred texture.
  • Transfer the whipped feta dip to a serving bowl.
  • Drizzle the top generously with additional olive oil.
  • Serve immediately with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For a sweet and savory version, drizzle the finished dip with honey or hot honey before serving. If you do not have a food processor, you can use a high-powered blender, though the texture may take slightly longer to achieve. You can prepare this dip up to two days ahead. Store it covered in the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving for the best texture.
