Equipment

  • Slow Cooker

Ingredients

Sauce and Meatballs

  • 12 ounce Heinz chili sauce
  • 14 ounce jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 14 to 18-ounce bags frozen cooked bite-size Italian meatballs about ½ ounce each; do not thaw
  • finely chopped fresh parsley leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Whisk together Heinz chili sauce, jellied cranberry sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a slow cooker until mostly smooth. Stir in frozen meatballs.
  • Cover and cook until meatballs are heated through and sauce thickens slightly, about 2 to 2.5 hours on HIGH or 3 to 4 hours on LOW. For thicker sauce, cook uncovered on HIGH for the last 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Transfer meatballs and sauce to a serving dish, or serve straight from the slow cooker. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For a faster version, cook everything uncovered in a large pot over medium-low heat for about 25 minutes. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days.
