  • Stove

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, mix shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for 20–30 minutes until firm enough to handle.
  • Scoop and roll into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place on a lined tray.
  • Freeze the balls for 15–20 minutes to help them hold shape.
  • Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in short intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each coconut ball into the melted chocolate, coating evenly.
  • Place coated balls back on the tray and let excess chocolate drip off.
  • Allow chocolate to set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.
  • Optionally, sprinkle extra coconut or toppings before the chocolate fully sets.

Notes

Chill the mixture well before shaping to avoid sticky handling. Use high-quality chocolate for a smoother coating and better flavor. Keep the balls cold while dipping to maintain their shape and texture.
