Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds salmon fillet You can use pre-cut fillets or an entire side of salmon.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For greasing and drizzling.
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced; more or less to taste.
  • ½ lemon juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Feel free to switch to your taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • black pepper to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons butter diced.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Place a large piece of aluminum foil in a rimmed baking dish.
  • Lightly grease the foil with olive oil. Place the salmon fillets on top. Drizzle with olive oil and scatter garlic evenly on top. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Dot with butter. Seal foil over salmon.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until salmon flakes easily. Serve immediately.

Notes

Salmon cut that work best for this recipe include pre-cut fillets or an entire side of salmon. The baking time may vary based on thickness. Cooking from frozen is possible but typically takes twice as long.
